About Miriam Greenblatt (she/her)
As a consultant, strategist, and educator, I’ve spent more than 15 years advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in both French and English. My work focuses on creating impactful, lasting change in order to dismantle systemic oppression and foster inclusive spaces. I believe that doing this work well means leaning into discomfort, and that real change only becomes possible when we feel supported enough to take those risks. My role is to offer that support, while collaborating with you to implement thoughtful, intersectional approaches. I welcome feedback throughout the process to ensure we are aligned and I can be responsive to your needs.
My professional experience includes serving as Senior Advisor, Decolonization, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in a university setting, and as Lead on equity and inclusion in a school board–roles that have deepened my commitment to creating transformative, inclusive spaces. I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Pedagogy from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where my studies centered on equity and critical studies in teaching and learning.
I work with organizations that are ready to move from commitment to action.
My clients include schools, universities, public institutions, non-profits, and all organizations that want to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion into their culture, systems, and everyday practice. Though I support a wide range of clients, I have particular expertise working with educational institutions and francophone communities.
Many organizations struggle with turning EDI values into concrete change. Do any of these challenges sound familiar?

You want to take action towards EDI, but don’t know where to start:
You’re not sure how to identify or prioritize needs.
You feel like you need to learn more before you can act.
You don't know how to create buy-in and get initiatives off the ground.
Leadership is supportive, but needs skill development to advance the work.
You’ve started to do the work, and are coming up against obstacles:
You’ve had EDI training, but it hasn’t led to any clear or measurable positive impacts.
You’re aware of key needs, but aren’t sure how to tackle them.
You’ve created policies, but they haven’t translated into everyday practice.
You’re not sure how to overcome resistance and build momentum.
Leadership wants quick wins yet needs a long-term, systemic strategy.
If any of these issues resonate, I’d love to help. Reach out to discuss the services below.

Testimonials
Collaborating with Miriam Greenblatt has been one of the most rewarding experiences for the Glendon Professional Development Centre. Miriam’s expertise in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion was pivotal in shaping the vision and roadmap for our micro-credentials project. Her insights helped us build a program that is self-sustaining, impactful, and deeply connected to the Franco-Ontarian and bilingual communities we serve.
Our relationship goes back to her previous role, where we first discovered her remarkable ability to combine strategic thinking with genuine care for people. Throughout this project, Miriam has been patient, encouraging, and consistently generous with her time and knowledge. She listens deeply, asks the right questions, and creates space for collaboration that feels both productive and inspiring.
Thanks to Miriam, we now have a clear, actionable plan to deliver bilingual, inclusive, and market-responsive micro-credentials. Beyond her professional excellence, what stands out most is the authentic connection we’ve built, a partnership grounded in trust and shared values.

I have worked with Miriam and [her colleague] several times to develop Equity, Diversity and Inclusion workshops for both staff and members of the public or profession who serve on organizational committees. In addition to their significant experience in this space, they brought a collaborative, thoughtful, and professional approach to this work, tailoring these sessions to our unique organizational needs.
The workshops themselves were engaging and incorporated a good mix of foundational concepts and practical application. Attendees left feeling more confident that they had the tools, resources, and self-reflective skills necessary to engage in more equitable practices and to make nuanced and challenging decisions.

Director, Investigations and Professional Conduct, Ontario College of Teachers
Miriam delivered an absolutely transformative session on inclusive language and the FSL (French as a Second Language) experience that equipped our teachers with practical tools and renewed perspectives. Miriam’s deep expertise in diversity and inclusion, combined with her nuanced understanding of language learning dynamics and social identities, created an engaging presentation that was both educational and immediately applicable to our classroom environments.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Miriam to any educational institution seeking a knowledgeable, passionate and empathetic speaker who can genuinely impact how we approach learning through an inclusive lens.

Miriam exudes an effective balance of professionalism, empathy, and humility in her work – all which are paramount to being an efficient trainer. I found her spirit of genuine collegiality and her openness to learning from others very refreshing and consider myself fortunate to have worked with and learned from her so many times.

I had the pleasure of working with Miriam, who designed and facilitated a workshop for Faculty of Education students at York University in the FSL program on the topic of inclusive language in French.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Miriam on the development of a virtual module focused on 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion. Throughout the process, her approach was collaborative, ensuring that the content reflected our specific needs, our organizational reality, and our intercultural context. The module is interactive, impactful, and thoughtfully designed to foster engagement while ensuring participants’ safety and well-being.
Miriam demonstrated sensitivity, rigor, and exceptional professionalism. I wholeheartedly recommend her for any inclusive training project.

I have worked with Miriam in various capacities related to equity work and training, and each occasion working with her has been an absolute pleasure. Her deep knowledge of equity work is evident not only in her expertise but also in how she models this in the work itself. She takes a strengths-based approach and values the experiences and insights of both those she works with and those she trains. Miriam exudes an effective balance of professionalism, empathy, and humility in her work – all which are paramount to being an efficient trainer. I found her spirit of genuine collegiality and her openness to learning from others very refreshing and consider myself fortunate to have worked with and learned from her so many times.

Miriam was a really buoying and most welcome presence as an advisor to our DEDI committee (Decolonizing, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion). She had such a light but crucial touch, and excellent suggestions at every turn. It was a pleasure to have her with us.
